Why a costume closet?

When I was a little girl my sisters and I would play dress up and put on shows for our parents. Later on in high school, I would sit in our theatre departments costume closet redesigning the costumes I found there. A costume closet is about reaching for your dreams.

Meet Rachel

I am a mom. I have 5 adorable, beautiful and cherished children.  I gave birth to 2 of them and married into 3.  I believe motherhood is the most honored job I could ever have.  Sometimes it is stressful, other times it is overwhelming but always it is a divine calling filled with a love not found anywhere else.  My favorite words are "Mommy, I love you!"  My children are the stars of my heart and the rays of sunshine in my life.

I am a wife.  I have a wonderful husband whom I love with all my heart.  He was an answer to a plea and a blessing to a prayer.  On our very first date I knew it was the last "first date" I would ever go on.  The first time we kissed, fireworks filled the sky (literally).

I am a sister.  I'm the oldest of 6 children, 2 are autistic (including the only boy).  My siblings mean the world to me.  They are my strongest support group and my fiercest allies.

I am a daughter.  There are generations of amazing people in my family history.  Stories of their lives fill me with wonder and amazement and their courage inspires me each day.

I am a Mormon.  I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and I'm grateful for His atonement which heals my hurt, heartache and sorrow.  He is there to lift me when I falter and carry me when I am faint.  He is my Savior and my Redeemer.

I have been lost and I have been found.  I have been in pieces and I have been made whole.  I have known deep sorrow and I have felt great joy.  I have a story to tell and a journey to share.  I hope to lighten your load with a skip in your step, a tear to your eye, a smile on your lips and a prayer to your heart.
